  • Началось голосование на конкурсе XYZZY-2017. Первый тур продлится до тринадцатого мая (01:00 четырнадцатого мая по часовому поясу PDT/GMT-8/MSK-10). В списке номинантов есть игры авторов РИЛ, но перечислять их не будем во избежание накруток.
  • Компания inkle открыла страницу Patreon для поддержки разработки платформы ink. Несмотря на то, что ink вырос из собственных разработок компании и используется в её новых играх, сейчас это отдельная экосистема со своими целями и нуждами.
  • Компания Choice of Games объявила победителей первого конкурса интерактивных новелл. Конкурс проходил с 1 ноября 2016го по 31 января 2018 года. В конкурсе участвовала 21 игра. Игры-победители выйдут под маркой Choice of Games; остальные игры, возможно, выйдут в рамках программы Hosted Games. Конкурс, возможно, повторится в будущем.
  • Компания 21st Century Fox (не путать с её подразделением, киностудией 20th Century Fox) объявила о съёмках фильма по серии Choose Your Own Adventure. Фильм будет интерактивным, зрительный зал сможет делать выбор на манер игр студии Telltale через приложение CtrlMovie.
  • Aaron Reed опубликовал свою диссертацию по Interactive Fiction «CHANGEFUL TALES: DESIGN-DRIVEN APPROACHES TOWARD MORE EXPRESSIVE STORYGAMES» (445 страниц) и хочет объяснить её в будущем цикле коротких статей своего блога.
